DMX started rapping from the mid 1990s. In May 1998 he recorded his debut album called It's Dark and HELL IS HOT. Other albums include... and then There was X, the Great Depression Year of the Dog... again The Redemption of the Beast Gran Champ, Flesh of Blood and Flesh. His album titled ... And Then There Was X was also nominated to win a Grammy in the Best Rap Album category in 2001. His career in music was enhanced with appearances in films such as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five - Exit Wounded, Never Die Alone - The Bleeding Romeo must die Backstage Beyond the Law Lockjaw - Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
